Excerpt from SoulMate:

Once home, he settled back into his favorite spot, hoping for some peace and quiet.  But restlessness settled over him.  Snatching his cell phone from the table, he rang Dan and invited him over for a few beers.  Dan jumped at the chance to get out of the house.  Within the hour, the two sat drinking beer, eating chips, and watching some sporting event on TV.  Knowing that something was different about his experience with Saffron, he decided to ask Dan about it.  It had been nagging at him.
“Dan, how much do you know about the whole host and transfer process?”
“Quite a bit, why?  I actually did a study on it when I was in college.”
“Well, those two days with Saffron on board were really different, like nothing I’ve ever experienced.  Now I feel kind of odd.  Empty…like something is missing,” Sam explained.
“How do you mean different, Sam?  Most transfers are pretty standard.”
“It’s hard to describe entirely, but she was there—really there.  I could talk to her, argue with her even.  The biggest difference from anything I’ve ever read or experienced was that she could take over.  You know, like control me.  She could make me say and do things.  I didn’t think that could happen.”
Dan’s shocked look turned to awe as he went on.  “Wow.  I’ve only ever read about that, man.  To tell you the truth, I thought it was kind of an old wives’ tale.  All of the texts describing the process say that can only happen when you find your true soul mate.  You, my man, are one lucky son of a bitch.  True soul mates are rare.  That’s one reason they only want unattached males to carry females, not males whose wives are expecting.  It’s a precaution, but I’ve never heard of it actually happening…until now.”
Shocked into silence, Sam took a long pull on his beer and pondered this new piece of information.  Shit, it felt right.  He hadn’t felt even slightly okay since they’d transferred Saffron back to her body.  Sitting back with a smile, he began to plan.  Thanks to Declan being a complete and utter asshole, his soul mate was a free woman.  Shit, he hoped he didn’t have to do too much convincing—that she’d come to the same conclusion as he did.  They belonged together, and he was going to make it happen.

Co-authoring Soul Mate

For the two of us, our co-authoring started in role play.  The two of us wrote together quite a lot and for some reason it always flowed.  There was always a great fan response to our posts and we were very comfortable writing together.  As we expanded from role play to authoring short stories, we helped each other out.  We would ask each other advice and we really became supporters for each other and more or less each others' 'go to' person to bounce ideas off of.  One of our chats resulted in us creating the Erotic Author’s Fan Page and Gallery where we could interact with the other authors and fans, help each other out and build a community.  We were talking about what to post in the gallery when we got to discussing writing a short story together.  We were all over the place at first.  Did we want to write a BDSM story, a contemporary romance?  Once we had the basics down we dove right in. One of us would start, writing the first chapter and send the document over.  The other did the next bit and sent it back. It worked really well for us.  Since we were used to the fast pace of role play and had written with each other a lot, it flowed smoothly and went quickly.  It worked because we knew each other so well.  We knew each others writing style and how the other thought writing wise.  The challenge was keeping the story uniform, and not sounding too much like a role play story line.  It went really well and we’ve written three books together, We definitely have plans to keep our co authoring going.  We have a few more ideas already, but the challenge is finding time.  Plus, we both have quite a few other stories of our own in the planning.  Co-authoring isn't for everyone and it’s really important to know your writing partner well, know their writing style inside out and have good communication.  It works for us.  We’ve gotten great feedback and reviews and are having a blast doing it.  Have a read of our Erotic Comedy, Soul Mate and give us a try.

Happy Release Day to Us

Today, Kass and my book Soul Mate released from Evernight Publishing.   It's exciting as hell and seeing the links go up and people talking and posting about something we wrote is an excellent feeling.  Soul Mate was one of our favorite books to write.  Here's the blurb:  Paramedic Sam Norton arrives at the scene of an accident to find that he's required to take on the soul of the lovely, feisty Saffron in order to save her life. Two minds in one body makes for some interesting antics. Saffron desires to make the most of the experience while broadening Sam’s sexual horizons. Although both are anxious for their body sharing to end, once it does, will they find that residual feelings remain?

We had alot of fun with it, injecting a good bit of comedy into what was intended to be a hot futuristic love story.  The two of us have a similar twisted sense of humor and that plays out in the story.  Give it a read and let us know what you think.  We'd love to hear from readers.

Hello

Hi There!  Ed and Kass, here.  We finally decided to start a blog, so we thought it would be a good idea to introduce ourselves! We decided to write our blog jointly because we each have web pages as well.  For the last two years we've been writing together beginning with role play, which we still actively write to promote our books and the characters in our stories, and branching into short stories which we create individually as well as together.  The names we write under as authors are Edward Tailor and Kassandra Cox and we'd love to tell you about who we are.

Edward is an author of Erotica.  He lives in the same rural village in the county of Essex where he was born. He is the youngest brother to three wonderful sisters, who have supported his every whim.  Since he left his local high school in the late 80’s, he has qualified to be a Cabinetmaker, Carpenter, Bricklayer, and Electrician and in Sports massage. He's been a member of the Territorial Army, worked in an export warehouse, managed an Australian plant nursery and worked for a big housing developer. At that point, he decided he needed to be his own boss and became self-employed, which means long lonely days.  Thanks to the development of the iPod, he spends his working time listening to stories helps pass the hours. He listens to everything and anything, from the classics, to Sci-fi, fantasy to erotica up to ten hours a day, six days a week, so that’s a lot of literature. He has a wonderful supportive wife and son who keep him grounded.

Kassandra has spent most of her life in the Philadelphia, PA area, although she has traveled extensively for her work in pharmaceutical research and development.  Having always been an avid reader, she began to write during her many trips, jotting down short stories while on planes or trains.  A foray into role play at a site for a favorite author, led to trying her hand at writing stories.  She is an author of erotica covering several genres, both individually and with writing partner, Edward Tailor.  Kassandra lives outside of Philadelphia with her husband of over 25 years, and their three children.

It's been an exciting ride for us so far.  The thrill of having our books published was something we will never forget and we both greatly appreciated the publishing opportunity afforded us.  It was an incredible learning experience and we savored every moment.  Stay tuned as we pop on and talk about out experiences, our new and upcoming releases and have visits from our friends.  Thank you for reading!
